Education
Graduated maxima cum laude in Law at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 1990. Cassation court lawyer since 1993.
Professor of Private Law of the Faculty of Law at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, where he holds a chair in Private Law I, Private Law II, Land Law.
Professor at the Private Law majoring course at the University of Law of Modena e Reggio Emilia and professor of Civil Law for police officers at the Military Academy of Modena.

Professional career
Legal consultant in corporate and bankruptcy rights, drafting of agreements and commercial litigation for leading companies and banks, often in charge of arbitration appointed by the parties or authorized bodies.

Trustee for numerous and complex bankruptcy proceedings of the Court of Modena, Temporary Receiver in compositions with creditors for mechanic and ceramic tile companies. In charge of private equity and merchant bank funds for leverage operations, acquisition/transfer of shares, extraordinary operations, as well as companies and banks undergoing corporate restructuring. Legal advisor of bank institutions for important corporate restructuring and resizing operations.

U.N. delegate, working for the organisation as a member of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

“Profesor Honorario” of the Universidad Abierta Interamericana di Buneos Aires, graduated honoris causa in Buenos Aires,4 October 2012, with the lectio magistralis: “La experencia italiana sobre la Unificatíon del Código Civil y Comercial y las actuales directivas de la Unión Europea”.
Appointed Member of the International Academy for the Study of the Jurisprudence of the Family, in date 12 February 2013.
